As a landscape photographer accustomed to seeking cozy and budget-conscious havens, my recent stay at Aladin in Paris was a practical choice for navigating the city's iconic charms without breaking the bank. The hotel's location is a real asset, just a ten-minute stroll to the metro, making it easy to explore the bustling Rive Gauche. With friendly staff ready to accommodate our early arrival, we felt welcomed at once. The room, albeit small and a tad worn, was clean enough with fresh towels and sheets. The heating was straightforward to adjust, maintaining a nice warmth on those chilly Parisian nights. While the flat-screen TV and complimentary toiletries were nice touches, the lack of consistent housekeeping-missing cleaning one day-was a downside. Aladin strikes a sensible balance between cost and comfort, allowing you to enjoy the city without too much luxury baggage.
